Introduction and Session I: Through the Eyes of a Child
Ruby White Starr, Assistant Director, National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges
A growing body of research documents the amazing capacity for resilience in children and youth who have experienced trauma, abuse, and stress in their lives. A key finding of this research is the power of each individiual, including judges, advocates, social workers, and attorneys who come in to contact with children and youth, to be an agent of resilience. Through a child’s perspective, this session will examine positive messages and interventions for children that enhance outcomes.
